The Bordeaux–Cauterets Ski Bus is the easiest way to get to Cauterets and its high-altitude Cirque du Lys ski area, without battling Bordeaux’s ring-road traffic or facing a long, tiring drive. Whether you’re travelling on your own, heading up with friends to hit the snowpark, or bringing the family for their first turns in the beginners’ area, our comfortable coach drops you right by the Lys Gondola.

The N’PY team’s tip: With 4½ hours on the road, there’s plenty of time to perfect your playlist or catch up on some sleep. We’ll do the driving – and make sure your ski passes are ready for you when you arrive!

The Bordeaux–Cauterets service is operated by Voyages Sarro.

The bus usually leaves early in the morning so you can enjoy a full day on the slopes. The exact meeting point in Bordeaux (usually near a well-connected location such as Saint-Jean train station or a park-and-ride) will be provided when you complete your purchase. Please make sure you arrive 20 minutes before departure.

You can book your place directly online through our website. We recommend booking at least a few days before departure. Places are limited, so don't leave it until the last minute, especially at weekends and during school holidays.

Yes. The coach leaves Cauterets in the late afternoon, just after the slopes close. The driver or accompanying staff will let you know the exact return time when you arrive at the resort.

Our packages are generally all-inclusive, so you can enjoy your day without having to worry about the details. They include:

  • Return coach travel from Bordeaux.
  • A one-day ski pass for the Cauterets ski area (Le Lys).

Absolutely! You can bring your skis, snowboard, boots and poles at no extra cost. Your equipment will be safely stored in the coach's luggage compartment during the journey.

Of course! You can add ski or snowboard equipment hire when you book online, or hire your equipment from one of our partner shops in Cauterets when you get off the bus.

The Skibus will run as normal as long as the roads are passable and the resort remains open. In the event of force majeure or a complete closure of Cauterets due to extreme weather conditions, we will let you know as soon as possible and your trip will either be rescheduled or refunded.

Eating is not permitted during the journey.

You can bring a picnic for the day or enjoy the food options available at Cirque du Lys.
