Arriving in Peyresourde by the Skyvall gondola or by car? Welcome to one of the sunniest sides of the Pyrenees.
Right by the arrival area, the beginner zone offers gentle slopes, covered magic carpets and fun features designed to help you learn with confidence.
This is where you'll make your first snowplough turns on the dedicated green learning slope before exploring further afield.
You'll need a ski pass to use the lifts, and for beginners the Flex Card is the smart choice:
Better rates based on where you ski
If you ski in the beginner zone, you only pay the beginner-zone rate.

Your card remains valid all season, without another trip to the ticket office.

Booking lessons with ESF Peyresourde through N'Py means organising everything in one place: lessons, ski passes and equipment hire in just a few clicks.
Our local team, based in Lourdes, knows the resort and can help you choose the right option, from Club Piou Piou for children aged 3 and over to beginner lessons for adults.
To make budgeting easier, you can also pay in 3 or 4 instalments.
The Peyragudes ski area has two sides:
- Peyresourde, in Hautes-Pyrénées.
- Les Agudes, in Haute-Garonne.
Choose the side closest to your accommodation.
If you're coming up from Loudenvielle on the Skyvall gondola, Peyresourde is the natural choice.
The earlier, the better. Groups at your ability level and lesson times that fit your plans fill up quickly, particularly during school holidays.
Booking from autumn gives you the best choice of lesson type and time, so you can start your holiday without surprises.

Yes. As well as alpine skiing, ESF offers snowboarding lessons, and Peyragudes was the first resort in the Pyrenees to introduce beginner ski touring sessions before or after the slopes' opening hours.
Freestyle fans can also enjoy the Family Park on the Peyresourde side.
Lessons last between 1 and 2 hours, depending on whether you book group or private lessons. Available times are shown when booking. Please arrive early so the group can set off on time.
From age 3, at the ESF snow garden at the base of the slopes in Peyresourde.
For children aged 3 to 5, Club Piou Piou offers a gentle introduction to skiing. Peyragudes also has a childcare facility on the Peyresourde side.
No. You need a ski pass to use the lifts, even when following your instructor. For beginners, the smart option is the Peyragudes Flex Card, with a price that adjusts to the areas you ski in.
