From the ski area’s ridgelines, the view opens out across a sea of snow-covered peaks, stretching from Pic du Midi de Bigorre to the mountain ridges along the Spanish border. On clear, sunny days, the scenery is exceptional – whether you’re skiing through it or simply settling down on a terrace to enjoy the mountain lifestyle.
With its wide-open views across the Pyrenees, Peyragudes is a central balcony over the mountain range. From the highest points, you can see neighbouring resorts in the distance. With so many descents spread across two mountain sides, skiers of all levels can enjoy incredible views over the Louron and Luchon valleys.

Between 2,200 and 2,400m, the 1000 drag lift provides access to the only high-mountain sector directly linked to a traditional ski area in the Pyrenees.
La Piste 007
A panoramic descent from the top of Serias to the base of the slopes at Balestas.
This special route is one of Peyragudes’ must-do family experiences. Starting at the top of the Serias high-speed chairlift, it takes you on one of the finest panoramic descents in the resort, with views over the Louron Valley, Peyragudes and neighbouring resorts including Val Louron and Saint-Lary.

From steep, challenging terrain to long, technical descents, Peyragudes offers experienced skiers an exhilarating playground. From the 1000m sector to Cap des Hittes, the skiing is fast-paced and varied, with everything from black slopes made for carving to access to fantastic controlled freeride areas. Add in spectacular panoramas and reliable snow cover, and you have a resort where challenging skiing goes hand in hand with pure enjoyment.

The slopes you simply can’t miss
Peyragudes combines technical terrain with plenty of accessible skiing, and many of its slopes are real standouts. Here’s our pick of the ones you won’t want to miss.
This is the highest black slope in the resort. Starting at the top of the 1000 drag lift, it gives the most adventurous skiers the chance to experience high-mountain skiing on a secured slope.
The entrance is very narrow, making the drop into a gradient of more than 40% a real thrill. For even more experienced skiers, the special routes of Val de Montsésgu 1 & 2 offer a similar experience, but without groomed slopes. Here, the snow is fresh and the gradients are even steeper. Safety equipment is essential before heading out onto this terrain, including a transceiver, shovel and probe, as well as checking the BERA avalanche bulletin. Professional guides are also available to help you discover this terrain safely.
This is Peyragudes’ ultimate panoramic cruise. Several kilometres long, this blue slope is a treat for both the eyes and your skis.
We highly recommend stopping at the panoramic footbridge to take in the views over Lac de Boum before following the lakeshore and heading back towards the sector’s high-speed chairlift.
The most Instagrammable spot in the Peyragudes ski area! This high-altitude slope descends the Peyresourde side of the resort, with the surrounding peaks as its backdrop.
Wide and gentle, it’s ideal for introducing children to skiing away from the beginner zones. They can also carry on the fun at Family Park, right at the end of Aigles. Get your phones ready – this is where you’ll be racking up the likes!
Red or blue? The choice is yours! These are the two options waiting for you at the top of the Privilège lifts, on both the Peyresourde and Cap de Pales sides.
On one side, a leisurely descent with views towards peaks over 3,000m high; on the other, a natural launchpad down towards the valley on a much more challenging gradient. And if you can’t decide, there’s always time to do both in the same day!
The resort’s fun blue slope, beneath a spectacular ridgeline! For experienced skiers, every change in gradient is an invitation to get some air.
For everyone else, it’s a wide, playful blue slope where every roller is a chance to build confidence and enjoy the feeling of skiing.
From the top of the Serias high-speed chairlift, this blue slope opens out as you cross the Col de la Flamme, revealing panoramic views over the village of Peyresourde and the peaks along the Spanish border, including Arbizon and Batchimale.
We love its profile: a surprisingly steep start for a blue slope, followed by a gentler finish where you can lay down some BIG turns before heading onto the Funslope with the kids – the resort’s dedicated fun slope.

The Peyragudes ski area offers plenty of places to eat, from the foot of the Skyvall gondola in Loudenvielle right up to the highest points of the ski area.

Self-service-style food, a large terrace and music turned up loud – the go-to spot for anyone who’d rather spend the afternoon on the terrace than on the slopes.
