Charming Studio in the Mountains: "Bread and Roses" | Studio

Come experience the authentic charm and tranquility of a studio apartment in a local’s home in a beautiful mountain village at an elevation of nearly 900 meters, between Luz-Saint-Sauveur and Barèges. At your disposal is a studio apartment of about 17 square meters with a small living area, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a double bed. The shower, sink, and toilet are right next door. In the morning, the view of the trees and mountains might even let you spot some squirrels! If you listen closely with the window open, you’ll hear the gentle gurgling of the stream flowing at the bottom of the garden. You’ll enjoy the comfort of a bed-and-breakfast and the independence of a studio apartment.
The mattress and pillows are brand new, as are the kitchenette and its refrigerator. A microwave, double hotplate, toaster, French press, kettle, and hair dryer are also available. The black object visible in the photos is a radiator.
The studio is non-smoking, and pets are not allowed because we have allergies.

You access the studio via a private indoor staircase that starts in the main entryway of the house. The floor is authentic and historic, as are the closet in the main room and the small, low-ceilinged staircase leading to the first floor, where the studio and bathroom are located. In winter, there is space to store skis.
Wi-Fi is available free of charge. Suitable for people with electromagnetic sensitivity: there is no Linky meter, and you can turn off the Wi-Fi and use an RJ45 cable from the living room of the house, outside the studio. Please let us know in advance if this is something you need.
The village is very quiet, and the house no longer has any immediate neighbors. Free parking is right across from the house.

The village of Viella is ideally located between the spa and ski resorts of Barèges (10 minutes) and Luz Ardiden (20 minutes) and close to the major attractions of Gavarnie, Troumouse, and Estaubé, the Pic du Midi, and incredible hiking trails all around. The GR 10 trail passes through the village, as do local hiking trails. Luz-Saint-Sauveur is a 5-minute drive away and accessible via a trail in 25 minutes. In Luz, you’ll find all the services and shops you need, open year-round, including the Maison de la Vallée and its movie theater, which shows films 3 to 4 times a week.
Bonus: The village of Viella is served by LIO bus line 968 from the Lourdes SNCF train station to Barèges, with a stop at Viella RD 918. The Lourdes SNCF train station is only about a 6-hour daytime trip from Paris. The Paris–Lourdes overnight train lets you wake up almost right in the mountains!

And if you’re in the mood, we also offer personalized yoga sessions on a mat or chair (€50 for one hour) and anti-stress massage sessions (€50 for one hour). We love simplicity, and you can also use the dry toilets on the ground floor.
