The VTT on Ice Trophy, a snow mountain-bike race never seen before in the Pyrenees, gets under way here on 24 January 2027. Gourette is also taking to the skies with a zone reserved for ski paragliding and tandem discovery flights. And to recharge your batteries, the Le Cairn mountain restaurant is hosting gourmet tastings throughout the season!

On 24 January 2027, Gourette hosts a first-of-its-kind event in the Pyrenees: the VTT on Ice Trophy. This stage of the Pyrénées “Ice Series” is also held at La Pierre Saint-Martin. The concept: a timed mountain-bike descent on snow, also known as snow biking.
The event is organised by EPSA in partnership with the La Lobot association. It’s open to seasoned competitors and experienced amateurs alike who want to enjoy a unique experience on exceptional winter terrain.
A timed descent on the Glacière run :
- The course: riders set off one by one on the Glacière red run, with a 300 m vertical drop.
- A reserved run: the run is dedicated entirely to the competition, ensuring safety, a smooth-running race and fairness between riders.

Thrills, adrenaline and spectacle in an outstanding mountain setting: the race promises to be spectacular, for riders and spectators alike!
After the excitement of the race, it’s time to relax together: discover the gourmet tastings at Le Cairn restaurant, with oysters, local cheese and Jurançon wine facing the peaks.
Gourette takes to the air with the opening of a zone reserved entirely for ski paragliding.

No need to be a pilot to enjoy it: the Ascendance school in Bedous offers tandem discovery flights so you can see the ski area from the sky!
Good news for No Souci Pyrénées Card subscribers and Premium or Unlimited Season Pass holders: once again this season, a fast-track lane is in place on the ski area’s flagship chairlifts (Tourmalet, Panoramic, Tournaboup, Béarnais, Caoubère, Pourteilh, Espade and Sapins).
Less waiting, more runs on the largest ski area in Béarn : you’re on the slopes while everyone else is queuing.

On several Saturdays during the season, the Le Cairn mountain restaurant hosts gourmet tastings : oysters, local cheese and Jurançon wine.
